Now, the restaurateur and cookbook author has her eye on Abu Dhabi. The founder and chief executive of Tashas Group runs more than 20 restaurants and cafes - 15 in her native South Africa and eight in Dubai, including six tashas cafes, plus Avli by tashas, Flamingo Room by tashas and Galaxy Bar. The annual Race for the Conch swim event also takes place here, and pits many of the country’s athletes against each other in ½, 1, and 2.4-mile races.Natasha Sideris is a culinary whizz on the Dubai foodscape. Management at the restaurant hosts a large bonfire and a fireworks display, and excellent vistas can be had looking west down Grace Bay as each resort sets off their displays. The beach fronting Flamingo’s is the most popular spot on Providenciales to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks. Ricky’s is on a great section of beach, and there’s a public beach access at the site as well. A range of local and American bar and diner cuisine is served. This establishment offers casual outdoor dining, and customers often just walk right in from the beach.
